There are two main factors that affect the crocodile blade blade, namely the blade material problem and the blade heat treatment process. The blade material problem is the key to determine the performance of the blade and the core of the equipment cost problem. For the selection of the shear blade, the conventional material is W5SICR/9CRSI/CR12MOV. The more expensive the better? For crocodile blades, most of the blade material is more than 95 % carbon steel, unless the customer's specific requirements, generally do not use 9crsi and other materials. The reasons for this are as follows:

Material price: carbon steel is about a quarter of 9crsi. Take the 80 * 80 * 17 blade as an example, the blade's gross weight is about 1 ~ 1.1 kg. The material is calculated at 4000 yuan/ton, the material cost is about 4 to 4.5 yuan/chip, and if replaced with 9crsi, the material cost is 16 to 18 yuan/tablet. These also do not include a series of costs such as electricity, rent, machine wear and tear, labor, water and electricity;

Quality Comparison: We use carbon steel forging to produce the bar, and 9crsi because of the material is very hard, usually can only choose to roll directly into a strip annealing for processing. Rolling and forging are very different on the grain of the tissue of the product: the grain of the tissue of the rolling product is thick and directional, and the finished product is easy to fall off and crack when used; Forging product has uniform organization, no directionality, and relatively excellent performance;
3, cost-effective: carbon steel low cost, heat treatment qualified, the average life of each blade can reach 3 to 5 days(this data based on the feedback of our customers, we do not know the information of other plants), and 9crsi is very strict on heat treatment requirements. It is necessary to select quality clearance, and usually only up to 80 working hours(about 10 days). This comparison found that the quality of ordinary material blades, if qualified, can completely replace 9crsi.
